Worcestershire Primary STEM Challenge
Some of our fantastic young scientists and engineers took part in the Worcestershire STEM Works Primary Challenge. Students were introduced to the exciting world of engineering by using K’Nex to produce a solution for a problem – to design and build a vehicle for moving earth! Throughout the challenge, students learned about structures and mechanisms, and used their knowledge to solve the construction challenge.
The winning team was Lewis Williams and Kacey Loveridge who were chosen based on their ability to work together, solve problems, produce a working model and communicate their ideas to each other and the judge. They will be representing the Vale of Evesham School at the Worcestershire STEM Challenge Final held on 23rd May at Yamazaki Mazak where pupils will be challenged to create a model using similar criteria to those encountered in school.
It was a fantastic morning and all the students worked hard and had excellent, well thought out ideas. Well done!
